Growing up in Syracuse, NY, Rick gained some experience cutting as an apprentice after high school. He then attended barber school at Shear Ego Hair Institute in Rochester, NY. He worked for a few years at a shop in Rochester before opening The Salty Dog Barbershop in Buffalo in January 2018. He hopes to grow the brand and improve the barber experience in as many places as possible.
